Use the operator terminal
Clock in at a resource, start and end work against the operations running on the floor, and clock out.
The operator terminal is the full-screen kiosk a machine operator uses to clock on and report which operation they are working. It is signed in as the operator's own account and reads the live list of operations on released and in-progress work orders, so an operator can pick up the next job and start their labor against it without leaving the floor. The work it reports flows straight into Production and the time it logs into Workforce.
Open the terminal
- From the terminal landing screen, select Operator Terminal.
- The terminal shows your name and your shift status. Your account must be linked to an employee record; if it is not, the terminal says so and there is nothing to do until that link exists.
Clock in and pick up work
- While clocked out, select Clock In. If you are not scheduled today, the terminal warns you that the punch counts as overtime, then clocks you in anyway.
- Once on shift, the terminal lists the operations on every released and in-progress work order, in sequence. Each row shows the operation name, its status, and the work order, item, and job it belongs to.
- Tap an operation to start your job on it. The header updates to "Working on" that work order and operation, and your shift timer keeps running.
End work and clock out
- Select End Job to stop the labor against the current operation while staying on shift. You can then tap another operation to switch to it.
- Select Clock Out when your shift is done. This ends any open job and closes your time card.
Clock In -> pick an operation (Start job) -> End Job -> pick another -> Clock Out
Where to go next
- Clock in and out without picking a job at the time clock.
- See the operations and work orders this feeds in Run a work order.
- See where the time lands in Workforce.
