Get started

First login, the home hub, navigation, and using the Arch assistant.

Workcell runs a manufacturing business end to end: what you make, what you sell, what you buy, what you build, and what it all costs. This section gets you oriented so the rest of the docs make sense.

First login

You reach Workcell through an emailed invite. Accept it, set a password, and you land in your organization. If your company runs more than one site or legal entity, an organization switcher in the sidebar footer lets you move between them; what you see always belongs to the organization you are currently in.

The home hub

The home screen is a grid of modules. Each tile opens one area of the business:

  • Arch is the AI assistant. Ask it questions about your data in plain language.
  • Sales turns customer demand into shipped, invoiced orders.
  • Engineering defines the items, BOMs, and routings you make.
  • Inventory tracks stock, lots, and serials by location.
  • Purchasing buys materials from vendors.
  • Production plans and builds jobs on the shop floor.
  • Quality inspects work and manages NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Warehouse receives, picks, ships, and counts physical goods.
  • Accounting keeps the books and costs every job.
  • Workforce manages employees, shifts, and time.
  • Terminals are the kiosk screens for the floor.
  • Analytics reports across all of it.

How the modules connect

Work flows from customer demand through to a costed, invoiced job. Sales takes the order, Engineering supplies the BOM and routing, Purchasing and Inventory feed materials, Production builds, Quality inspects, Warehouse ships, and Accounting costs every step.

Getting around

The left sidebar is the primary navigation. Pick a module and its sub-screens appear; the bar at the bottom always holds Home, Settings, and Help. Most modules open on an Overview dashboard that summarizes the state of that area.

Where to go next

  • See how a single order travels through every module in How work moves through Workcell.
  • Learn to ask the assistant about your data in Using Arch.
  • For the UI patterns every screen shares (search, lists, dashboards, notifications), see Core.
