Plenty of shops never bought Microsoft, and everything from the customer's print to the fixture photo lives in a shared drive, found by whoever still has the link. Links rot, and nobody can tell which of three copies the floor actually ran. The planned connection lets a file in a shared drive be attached to an item, job, or lot in WorkCell, so the record holds the reference rather than a chat message holding it. Storage stays in Drive. What changes is that the part number is how you find the file, not someone's memory of a folder name.
