Dropbox

Let the customer print that arrived in Dropbox land on the item it belongs to, so the shop runs one known revision.

WorkCell And Dropbox

Dropbox is often the oldest file habit in the building: it predates the ERP, predates the quality manual, and it is how half the customers send prints. That is also where revisions go wrong, because Rev C arrives in a shared folder named after the customer and nobody moves it anywhere. The connection we plan attaches a Dropbox file to the item, job, or lot it describes, so the shared folder becomes a source rather than the index. Nothing moves out of Dropbox. The point is that a part number resolves to one file someone deliberately attached, not to the newest thing in a folder.
