SolidWorks
A planned connection that reads part numbers, revisions and the assembly tree out of SolidWorks and builds the items and bills of material in WorkCell.
Cad Cam
SolidWorks is a desktop CAD system for parts, assemblies and drawings. WorkCell is not a CAD system and will not open a model or rebuild a feature tree. What the connection will do is read the engineering data you already maintain in SolidWorks, the part number and description from the file properties, the current revision, and the structure of an assembly, and create or revise the matching items and bill of material in WorkCell. A drawing or a STEP export can ride along as an attachment on the item. Nobody retypes an eighty line assembly, and nobody finds out later that the floor built revision B.
Connect the systems you already use.
Tell us how SolidWorks fits your workflow and we will show you where it lands in WorkCell.
