Mastercam

Mastercam is CAM software. A programmer takes a model, builds toolpaths and posts NC code for a particular machine and control. WorkCell does not program parts and will not post code. The planned connection carries what the programmer already knows into the shop record: the part number and revision the program was written against, the tool list the setup needs, and the setup sheet attached to the operation an operator will actually run. Programmed cycle time can seed the run time on the routing instead of being guessed. The shop stops retyping tool lists onto a traveler and hoping the revision on the bench is the one that was quoted.
