ShipStation

ShipStation is not a carrier, so the connection is narrow: it needs the order and the ship-to, and it gives back a tracking number.

WorkCell And ShipStation

Shops running ecommerce or distributor volume usually have ShipStation in place already, sitting between whatever creates the order and the carriers it buys from. That changes the shape of the integration. It does not need WorkCell to know anything about carriers, because the carrier accounts live in ShipStation; it needs the order, the ship-to address, the line quantities and the package, and it hands back the tracking number and the service the parcel went out on. That is the connection we will build: a picked and packed WorkCell shipment goes over as an order to fulfil, and the tracking number comes back onto it.
