FedEx
FedEx is usually the second carrier a shop runs, which is how one order ends up with tracking numbers nobody can see in one place.
Shipping
Almost no shop runs one carrier. FedEx sits next to UPS, split by account, by lane, or by which account a customer told you to bill, and that split is the real problem. Two carrier sites, two logins, two sets of tracking numbers, and an order whose shipping history has to be reassembled by hand when the customer calls asking where something is. WorkCell records the shipment and its Carrier against the order today, but the numbers still come out of a browser. Connecting FedEx is half of fixing that: both carriers reporting onto the same shipment record, so the order shows what left and who carried it.
