REST API

The API is not a side door bolted onto the product, it is the same HTTP interface WorkCell's own screens call. What you can do in the UI you can do over it: create a sales order, revise a bill of material, receive a purchase order line, record labor against an operation, query on-hand by location. JSON in, JSON out. Webhooks run the other way. Subscribe an endpoint and WorkCell posts to it when a record changes, so you are not polling on a timer waiting to notice. This is how shops wire up a system we have not written a connector for, and most of that takes an afternoon.
