Salesforce
Salesforce is usually mandated from outside the shop, which makes the hard question not the API but who is allowed to own the account record.
Crm
Salesforce is rarely a shop's own pick. It is there because a parent company standardized on it, or because a large customer wants opportunities logged where their team can read them, and by then it is customized by someone who has never walked the floor. WorkCell runs its own CRM — customers, contacts, RFQs, quotes, sales orders, invoicing — attached to the job that fills the order, so the shop rarely needs a second place to look. A connection will map the Salesforce account and opportunity onto the WorkCell customer and quote, then send back what shipped. Settle which system owns the account before anyone writes a field mapping.
